The Best of Golf New ZealandThe Best of Golf New Zealand is the brand name for the New Zealand Golf Tourism Cluster Inc. The group began in 2002 with support from the NZ Government with the objectives of marketing New Zealand as a desirable destination for international golf travellers. This marketing collective is made up of the top resort courses in the country, as well as a secondary level of associate membership for other supporting businesses. These include NZ based golf specialist tourism operators, in-market wholesalers, accommodation providers, golf industry and tourism organisations. 
The New Zealand golf network courses are dedicated to providing a superior New Zealand golf vacation experience to visitors. The cluster has worked very closely with Qualmark, the government-backed quality agency that assesses tourism plant and activities, to develop a stringent quality benchmark for New Zealand golf courses. The cluster operates as an Incorporated Society and management is shared between Geoff Burns (Manager), Philippa (Pip) King (Communications & Trade Manager) who have extensive experience in the tourism industry, and Kevin Park (Chairman and General Manager of Wairakei International Golf Course).
