Sample Golf Vacation Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Auckland. Relax for the remainder of your day looking around the City of Sails. Overnight The Langham Hotel.
Day 2 Pick up your Budget Rental Car for an easy 40 minute drive to Gulf Harbour Country Club on the Whangaparoa Peninsula. This is a superb golf course that has hosted the World Cup of Golf in 1998 and the NZ Open.
After lunch continue your journey north to the Bay of Islands, with stops to visit the Kauri Museum and the Treaty House at Waitangi before arriving at Karikari Peninsula. Driving time estimated to be 4 hours. Alternative transport available by helicopter or air from Auckland. Overnight at Carrington Resort.
Day 3 Early tee off at Carrington in the morning and the rest of the day to enjoy this lovely property and nearby beaches. Another day or two here will give you time to also play the magnfiicent Kauri Cliffs and cruise through the Bay of Islands.
Day 4 Morning flight to Taupo and Wairakei geothermal region. Golf at the Wairakei International Golf Course in afternoon. Overnight Huka Lodge or Wairakei Resort at Taupo.
Day 5 Two hour drive to the fabulous Cape Kidnappers Golf Course in Hawkes Bay. Overnight Napier.
Day 6 Full day free for visiting wineries, trout fishing, farm visit. Overnight in Napier.
Day 7 Drive to the Coromandel Peninsula, rich in early history. Take the road through Tauranga and have lunch on Mt Maunganui beach (allow 5-6 hours for the journey).
Day 8 Play the Lakes Resort course at Pauanui, with its characteristic tidal bunkers. Afternoon fly or drive (2hrs) to Auckland Airport for your flight home.

Sample Golf Vacation Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Christchurch. Pick up your rental car and travel to Darfield (1.2 hours) or 10 minutes by helicopter.
Day 2 Play Terrace Downs in the morning and try blokarting in the afternoon. Overnight at Terrace Downs.
Day 3 Time for another round in the morning before driving back to Christchurch airport for your flight to Queenstown (alternative to drive). Overnight Millbrook Resort.
Day 4 Morning round of golf at Millbrook. Bill Clinton enjoyed this course and called the Queenstown region 'one of the world's best kept secrets'. The remainder of the day free to relax at the resort or visit historic Arrowtown. Overnight Millbrook Resort.
Day 5 Play golf at the spectacular Jacks Point course on the new nine holes at Millbrook. Take time out for a spa treatment in the afternoon.
Day 6 Today a half day Dart Wilderness Adventure combining one and a half hours wilderness jetboating amidst the spectacular scenery of the Southern Alps or a back road journey through the high country film location of 'The Lord of the Rings'.
Day 7 Morning free for more activities before your flight home. Some extra time here would be well spent playing some of the local club courses or take a look at The Hills, home of the NZ Open.
