The New Zealand Golf Travel Writers Network was created by The Best of Golf New Zealand, a collective of the country's top golf courses and resorts.

Membership is open to both local and international writers who are fascinated by the varied scenic beauty and exceptional golf experiences New Zealand has to offer.

Purpose

· To build a network of quality golf travel writers experienced in writing about New Zealand as an attractive golf and lifestyle visitor destination

· To provide writing opportunities for members by raising their profile amongst international and local golf and leisure publications and tour operators

Membership Benefits

· The Best of Golf New Zealand will encourage its members and business partners to utilise NZGTWN members for assignments

· The Best of Golf New Zealand will provide members with storylines, information and regular updates on the New Zealand golf tourism market

· The Best of Golf New Zealand will build and maintain the NZGTWN section of The Best of Golf New Zealand website including profile pages and links to samples of golf travel articles

· NZGTWN members will each receive a certificate of membership, renewable annually

· NZGTWN members will be given preference to join media visits organised by The Best of Golf New Zealand and its members

Membership fees

· There will be no initial annual membership fee or joining fee for NZGTWN

· For subsequent years, commencing January 2010, membership will be US$45. This fee will be waived for writers who produce at least one New Zealand golf tourism article each year

· Fees will be reviewed each year in January

Membership Criteria

· Application is by invitation of the NZ Golf Tourism Cluster (operating as The Best of Golf New Zealand)

· Applicants will have written at least two articles on golf travel in New Zealand in the past five years

· Electronic (pdf) copies of two published articles on golf in New Zealand must be supplied

· Applicants must provide profile information with contact details and an electronic personal photograph (jpg) for inclusion on The Best of Golf New Zealand website

· Applicants may be asked to provide additional references or a letter of recommendation
